The Creole Choir of Cuba consists of ten singers from Camagüey, Cuba’s third city. All the singers are descendents (Desandann) of Haïtian migrants who escaped from slavery.
The singers grew up and studied music in this old colonial town. They have nurtured music passed down in their families since the early 19th century, gradually adding modern Haitian sounds following their own first visit to a Haitian festival in 1996.
The Creole Choir of Cuba are Rogelio Torriente, Fidel Miranda, Teresita Miranda, Marcelo Luis, Dalio Vital, Emilia Diaz Chavez, Yordanka Fajardo, Irian Montejo, Marina Fernandes, Yara Diaz.
The choir have signed with Real World Records and a new album is due in September 2010. Their single is Chen Nan Ren, a freedom song which conveys the celebratory and glorious feeling of resistance. You can download the song here.

The Virtual Choir represents, 185 voices, 243 tracjs and 12 countries. The choir is conducted by Eric Whitacre, who also composed Lux Aurumque.
